Much of what happens in the garden by way of appearance in August, will be determined by the weather situation. But whatever - sunshine or rain - you can bet that the normal August flowers will do their utmost to put on a show. It is after all their only method of survival in the long term. No flowers, no seed. No seed, no continuation. The full range of flowering plants encompasses Perennials, shrubs, trees and bulbs.

 Maybe that is the reason why so many plants put on their best floral display in this month. Shrubs will have generally had their say earlier in the year. Now is the time for the perennials to take over prime spot - unless you know different! Please share with us!
